2. Peter Gabriel: Live In Athens [Blu-Ray] (1987)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: One of rock’s all-time great live performers, we get a good feel for Peter Gabriel via Live in Athens 1987. Presented in a clean, concise manner, we find a nice representation of a strong concert. The Blu-ray offers very good visuals and bonus materials; audio suffers from some apparently re-recorded vocals but still sounds strong. Despite some sonic qua

3. Peter Gabriel: Growing Up Live [Blu-Ray] (2003)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Despite a long break from live performance, Peter Gabriel demonstrated he can still put on good shows, and Growing Up communicates his most recent tour nicely. The show doesn’t excel at much, but it seems consistently well above average and entertaining. Starring Peter Gabriel. Eagle Rock, $29.98, 10/14/2016.

4. Peter Gabriel: Play (2004)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Despite the inevitable mix of ups and downs, I largely like Play. You’ll never find a truly consistent career-spanning music video collection, but Gabriel’s are probably as strong as anybody’s would be over more than two decades. And when they’re good, they’re excellent. Starring Peter Gabriel. WEA Music, $19.98, 11/16/2004.

5. Peter Gabriel: Secret World Live (1994)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Peter Gabriel has always been a lively and vivid performer, and Secret World Live shows him in good form. The concert doesn’t always succeed, but it presents much more good than not and is a solid presentation. Starring Peter Gabriel. Universal, $19.98, 3/11/2003.

6. Peter Gabriel: Still Growing Up - Live & Unwrapped (2005)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: A terrific live performer, Peter Gabriel reminds us of those talents in Still Growing Up – Live and Unwrapped. Via a scaled-down – for him, at least – production, Gabriel provides a solid sample of old and new songs, all performed well. Starring Peter Gabriel. Rhino/WEA, $29.99, 11/22/2005.

8. Genesis: 1983-1998 (Box Set) (2007)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: As for this set, it’s a nice package of audio and video. We get a nice array of music videos that don’t look good, but that’s due to the restrictions of the source material. The 5.1 remixes are simply terrific, and the release includes a lot of nice archival material. While not exhaustive, 1983-1998 provides a fine compilation. Starring Genesis. Rhino, $

9. Genesis: 1976-1982 (Box Set) (2007)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: The only impediment to my recommendation comes from the boxed set’s price of $130 ... Each of the 2-disc albums (sold separately) lists for about $20, so you’re paying an extra $30 for the bonus CD and the booklet. It’s probably worth it for fans, but I think that the boxed set retails for probably about $20 more than it should. Packages like this should

10. Genesis: The Video Show (2005)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Genesis: The Video Show acts as an excellent greatest hits compilation. Will you find a surfeit of terrific music videos here? No, as most of them are fairly ordinary. However, it’s a great release to have if you want a broad Genesis compilation of the Phil Collins years. Starring Genesis. WEA, $19.99, 9/13/2005.
